Who bills you?​

OpenAI bills your OpenAI platform account for narration requests. epubaudio.xyz does not add provider usage credits to your account.

Prices can change, so check the current OpenAI API pricing before processing a large book.

Monitor usage​

Use the OpenAI platform dashboard to review usage, configure billing, and set spending limits where available.

How the key is handled​

Your key is:

  • encrypted when stored by epubaudio.xyz;
  • hidden after saving, except for a masked preview;
  • used only for narration requests;
  • removable from OpenAI TTS settings.

Remove or rotate a key​

Select Remove key in epubaudio.xyz, then revoke the old key in the OpenAI platform dashboard. Create and save a replacement when needed.
