Quick start

This guide covers configuring narration and generating audio for an EPUB.

1. Connect OpenAI TTS​

  1. Open My library.
  2. Select your avatar.
  3. Choose OpenAI TTS.
  4. Enter an OpenAI API key.
  5. Choose a model, voice, and speed.
  6. Select Save settings.

2. Open a chapter​

After the book opens, use the chapter list on the left to select the chapter you want to read or narrate.

3. Generate narration​

Select Generate this chapter in the reader, or use the generate button next to a chapter. To process every chapter, select Generate all audio.

Generation may take some time. Progress appears next to the chapter.

4. Listen​

When the chapter is ready, use the timeline at the bottom of the reader to:

  • play or pause narration;
  • seek within the audio;
  • move to the previous or next chapter;
  • change playback speed.
