Common problems

The EPUB is rejected​

Confirm that the file:

  • ends in .epub;
  • is no larger than 50 MB;
  • opens in another EPUB reader;
  • is not DRM-protected or encrypted.

The book has no readable chapters​

The EPUB may contain images only, use an unsupported structure, or have an invalid reading order. Try another edition or export the source again.

Narration does not start​

Check that your OpenAI key is saved and that OpenAI API billing is active. Generate one chapter before attempting the whole book.

Generation stops or times out​

Check your connection and retry. Also review OpenAI usage limits and service status.

Audio cannot be played​

Wait until the chapter status shows that narration is ready. Reload the book if generation completed in another browser session.

The wrong voice is used​

Provider settings apply only to new generations. Existing audio retains the settings used when it was created.
