Do I need a ChatGPT subscription?
No. You need an OpenAI platform account with API billing or credits. ChatGPT subscriptions and API billing are separate.
Where do I get an OpenAI API key?
Create one on the OpenAI API keys page.
Does epubaudio.xyz include OpenAI usage?
No. You bring your own key and OpenAI bills your platform account directly.
Which book format is supported?
EPUB is currently supported. PDF and audiobook files are not accepted as book uploads.
Can I try the reader without my own book?
Yes. Select Try a sample on the home page.
Can I generate one chapter?
Yes. You can generate a selected chapter or start generation for every chapter.
Can I download or export the finished audiobook?
Not currently. Download and full-book export controls are not yet available.
Are more narration providers planned?
Yes, but OpenAI TTS is currently the only supported provider and no release dates have been announced.
