Generate narration

Before generating audio for your own books, connect OpenAI TTS.

Generate one chapter

Open the chapter and select Generate this chapter. You can also use the generate icon beside that chapter in the sidebar.

The chapter status changes from waiting to generating and displays progress. When complete, its duration appears beside a headphones icon.

Select Generate all audio above the chapter list. epubaudio.xyz processes chapters in sequence and reports how many are ready.

Provider settings apply to new generations. Existing narration is reused where available rather than regenerated automatically.

Every new provider request may incur charges on your OpenAI account. Review OpenAI usage and billing before generating a long book.
